Practice Basics
- Be on time for your practice
- Contact the coaches if you want to swim up with an older group
- Be respectful of coaches, parents and each other
- No horseplay - foursquare/water guns during practice time is prohibited
- Be ready to swim - goggles, swim caps, towels and correct swim gear
NOTICE the 1st week of practice May 19 - 23, swimmers should leave the pool as soon as their practice is over. There will be no lifeguards, kids cannot be in the deep end or shallow end if they are not in practices.
Why's my kid in that age group?
Age groups are based both on the age of the swimmer and the skill needed.
11-12 year olds are with the older teens because of the need to learn flip-turns and build stamina
9-10 year olds are together because they swim the length of the pool
7 -8 year olds are together because they need time to get used to swimming full length
5-6 are together because they need extra attention from the coaches
3-4 (Shark pups) need their own practice to build the essential skills to compete next season.
