Tomorrow, June 16th is our first home meet of the season against Lifetime Raleigh.
I need a couple of people to help with set up before the meet. I am flexible with time tomorrow so if you are able to help me set up please reply to this email. Thanks!
After the meet, if your last name begins with A-H, please remain after the meet to help clean up.
Please remember to leave the parking lot open for the visiting team, including moving your car out of the parking lot if you arrive at the pool before 5pm. Also, only park on one side of the street (clubhouse/pool side on Coachman's) and do not park in your neighbors grass!
Arrival time for your swimmer is between 4:45 and 5pm, warm-ups will begin at 5. Each swimmer should be sure to have their swimmer number written on the back of each shoulder. We will have a list of the swimmers and their numbers at the picnic table near the far fence.
The meet will begin at 6pm. For those who volunteered for a first half position - You will work from the beginning of the meet (medley relay) through the end of backstroke. It is expected that you stay in your position until the second half relief shows up. If your relief does not show up - please let Jen Carr know.
For those that volunteered for a second half position, you will need to be ready to begin your role at the end of backstroke (before breaststroke begins) through the end of the meet (after the last freestyle relay).
If your position is a full meet position you will need to remain until the end of the meet.
Volunteers: The Volunteer Meeting will begin at 5:45 in the clubhouse. This will be for clerk of course, announcer, order of finish and stroke and turn judges. Timers will meet with Robin near the starting blocks at 5:45. You will receive your timing fob and test them to make sure they are working.
Kid pushers and Clerk of Course: Check in with me (Jen Carr) to get the heat sheets and lane assignments per age group. 8 and unders and 9/10s swimming in the medley relay will need to be in position ready to line up before the meet starts.
If you ordered a whole pie and have not yet paid - please be sure to do so ASAP.
After every home meet, it is tradition that each swimmer receives one free ice cream novelty. 6 and unders will receive theirs after breaststroke and the rest of the team can receive theirs once they finish the freestyle relay
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out!
Thank you!
